Soncy Brae Farm
Soncy Brae is the home of twelve horses, a veritable carousel of breeds. Thoroughbreds, Lippizanners, Arabians, an Andalusian, an Icelandic, a Morgan and a Rocky Mountain Horse all live together in a herd on fifty acres in the Champlain Valley.
Lindsay Pontius owns and operates Soncy Brae . She has been a rider and performing artist for over twenty years. She recently performed the balcony scene from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with her horse Shilo.
Lindsay and her staff would love to introduce you to the herd. Soncy Brae offers English balanced seat riding lessons for all ages as part of the Equine Partnership Program. The emphasis is on partnership and understanding equine psychology. Young children learn grooming and leading in addition to riding. They might even teach their horse to bow. Adults can spruce up their skills and gain new confidence as riders exploring the opportunities that the variety of breeds offer.
The Equine Partnership Program is an hour and a half and includes grooming as well as riding. The cost is generally $45 per session. Family packages are also available.
