What To See and Do in Westport

Soncy Brae Horse Farm - home of twelve horses: Thoroughbreds, Lippizanners, Arabians, an Andalusian, an Icelandic, a Morgan and a Rocky Mountain Horse all live together in a herd on fifty acres in the Champlain Valley.

Ballard Park is a great spot. Once the site of the Westport Hotel, a prestigous vacation get-away in the 20's, this park now offers a number of programs throughout the summer from jazz concerts to shakespeare. A lifeguard equipped public beach is open 7 days a week during the summer months.

Westport Country Club - this 100+ year old course has been a favorite for vacationers for years.

Depot Theater - cozy, unique 137-seat theater contained within a 1876 railroad station.

Westport Marina - Full service marina, boat and kayak rentals, historic & scenic boat tours, car rentals, store and restaurant.

Normandie Beachclub - A former summer camp that has been converted into a small yet complete resort. In addition to renting cabins, Normandie offers a variety of watercraft rentals, a restaurant and snack bar area. Those who wish to join for the week can also take advantage of a swimming pool, tennis courts, excersize facilities and a small spa. Westport Library - a classic 1885 library on a village green.

Westport's Self Guided Walking Tour - take a leisurely stroll through some of Westport's history. Guide books available are from local merchants with photos of old and new Westport.

The Inn on the Library Lawn - as it's name suggests, the inn is located across the street from the southeast corner of Westport's central square, where the library is situated. Under new ownership, the Inn has completely renovated and redecorated its rooms and is now serving an excellent breakfast.
