Cottage Activities
This Lake Champlain rental property is the perfect location for families or small groups. The house has a covered porch with a spectacular view of the lake and Vermont's mountains. The porch is the right place to sit and read a book or enjoy your cocktails. With a picnic table that seats 8, it makes for a great "meal with a view" dining experience.
The large grassy yard is an ideal place for a whiffle ball game, badminton, volley ball, croquet or bocce. The beach offers a great setting for hours of play, and a cozy fire to roast marshmallows at night. The Lake will provide hours of entertainment (the house comes with a small rowboat and canoe). There is a mooring set up so you can arrange to have a sailboat or powerboat at your disposal.

Lake Champlain is the perfect body of water to explore by boat with historical sites around every bend. The cove is ideal for waterskiing, tubing, boarding and more. With the marina and yacht club close by it makes having a boat that much more fun.
The cottage has plenty of board games and jig saw puzzles to entertain you during the evening or the occasional rainy day. Cable and Internet access are available for an additional cost.
Westport Activities
The village of Westport is a lakeside community that offers a remarkable array of social, sporting and cultural activities for a town of its size. Enjoy one of our restaurants - lakeside gourmet dining to a sandwich and beer on the docks. Play golf at the Westport Country Club's 18-hole championship course or one of the many fine mountain courses further up in the Adirondacks. Rent a power boat at the Westport Marina or just go down to watch the boats come in at the end of the day. Westport is also home to a truly fine summer theater (The Depot) while also hosting outdoor theater performances at the lakeside Shell in Ballard Park.
New York and Vermont Activities

In addition to water-oriented activities, Westport and the surrounding Adirondack Park area offer great athletic and cultural diversity. Take riding lessons at Soncy Brae Farms. Enjoy hiking in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Take the ferry to Burlington for shopping and exploring, or drive 90 miles up the Adirondack Northway to Montreal for a continental adventure. Or go for a drive in the mountains - Lake Placid is a short but stunning 35 minute trip.
At the end of the day relax on the deck and watch the play of sunset on the water, enjoy a quiet cocktail or kick back with a book while the kids enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn. Then throw something on the grill and start resting up for the adventures to come.
